Brandon Brown

As a youth, Brandon Brown was into many sports playing basketball, football, and wrestling. He always fantasized about one day being a professional wrestler, idolizing Bret hart, shawn Michaels, and randy savage.

In high school, Brandon was a standout wrestler and football star at Kearny high school in San Diego, California. During the 3 years he attended Kearny high, he received the 2000 Harbor League Wrestling Championship and went on to compete in the CIF Championships in 2000 and 2001.

After a brief stint of wrestling in college and not feeling like he was going anywhere, he began training at Gold’s Gym in early 2002 as a sparring partner for up and coming contenders.

Later wanting to try his hand at MMA, Brandon joined Throwdown Elite Training center to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Abu Dahbi World Champion Dean Lister in mid 2008. In early 2009, feeling the desire to become a professional MMA fighter he began training at Alliance training center in Chula Vista,California.

Brandon opted to change gyms because he felt that Alliance offered the best team of world class trainers led by wrestling and boxing trainer and WEC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz, Muay Thai Trainers Juan Miranda and Scotty Dingas, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt and Trainer Casey Ryan. Brandon felt he was in a place he could learn and grow as a fighter training with a team that’s lead by UFC light heavyweight Brandon “the truth” Vera that the sky is the limit for him as long as he soaks in as much as everyone there has to offer. Brandon is very happy to represent his team and what they stand for and wants to be a role model for youths as well as up and coming fighters.
