Jeremiah Riggs is an exciting up and coming fighter from Vicksburg, Mississippi. In 2007 Riggs was set to become part of the San Jose Razorclaws, an International Fight League team coached by Frank Shamrock but the team was disbanded by the IFL before the season began. After the IFL dissolved Riggs was invited to be a part of season seven of The Ultimate Fighter. Riggs was paired against Dan Cramer in a preliminary matchup. Riggs lost a close decision but gained the respect of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson who dubbed him "Mississippi" after cornering him for the fight. After his experience on The Ultimate Fighter Riggs moved to Illinois to train with UFC legend Matt Hughes at the HIT squad. Alongside legends in the sport such as Matt Hughes and Robbie Lawler Riggs quickly began to expand his game. Riggs still calls the HIT squad home and trains with UFC fighter Jon Madsen, Matt Veach, and Brian Foster every day.
In early 2009 Riggs was chosen to go on VH1's hit reality show "Daisy of Love". Riggs was given the name "Big Rig" by Daisy De La Hoya due to his experience of driving trucks back home in Mississippi. On the show Riggs quickly made a name for himself with his southern charm and wild country boy antics. In an MMA fight arranged by the show's producers Riggs defeated VH1 reality star "12 Pack". "12 Pack" suffered from a broken nose and had to go to the hospital after the fight. Riggs is also known for catching a skunk in the house and performing a song for Daisy wearing only a bass guitar. Riggs finished fifth on the show and ultimately didn't get the girl.
In the summer of 2009 Riggs was selected for I Love Money 3 on VH1. Riggs did very well on the show but due to a spider bite he received while filming the show he had to withdraw from the competition. Sadly, the show will never air since the winner of the show killed his wife and committed suicide.
